When a client asked us to design a space built around her favorite ritual, mahjong nights with her girlfriends, we leaned all the way in. The concept: a bamboo forest after dark. Deep midnight walls, brass that catches the candlelight, gold-leafed birds keeping watch, and a game table worth gathering around night after night.
It’s moody, it’s a little glamorous, and it’s exactly the kind of room you never want to leave. This is The Mahjong Room.

The heart of the room — vintage faux shagreen, a warm walnut border, and a hidden drink holder at every seat so nothing interrupts the game. It’s the one piece from this room you can bring home today.
