We’re treating our first shoppers to complimentary mini donuts and bottled cold brew lattes while supplies last. Flavors include: Holiday Chai Peppermint Mocha Cookie Butter Meet Our Small Biz Besties: Gourmet Mini Donuts Haley and Felicia met in the fourth grade and have been inseparable ever since. What started as a childhood dream to work together turned into Gourmet Mini Donuts, a business rooted in friendship, collaboration, and joy. They didn’t start with a passion for baking — they started with a shared vision of building something meaningful. Each donut they make is crafted with care, nostalgia, and that same excitement they felt as kids dreaming about the future. We’re so proud to partner with fellow women entrepreneurs who share our love of bringing happiness to the community — one donut at a time. Thank You for Shopping Small Whether you’ve shopped with us since day one or are popping in for the first time, your support means everything. It allows us, and other small businesses like Haley and Felicia’s, to keep doing what we love. See you Saturday 💛Shana, Katie & the Ivory & Olive Team
Learn moreHoliday Decorating Tips for Your Mantle
Create a Warm, Layered, Effortlessly Elevated Look Last month, we had such a wonderful time learning from Cassie of Wildflower Floral during our Fall Mantle Decorating Workshop. She reminded us that, just like the Christmas tree, your mantle or tabletop can set the tone for the entire season. A well-styled mantle can look warm, cozy, intentional, and magical—but it can also look cluttered quickly. The key? Thoughtful layers, texture, and asymmetry. Here are our top tips to help you create a mantle that feels curated, elevated, and unmistakably festive. Start With Greenery Whether you use live or faux garland, this is your foundation. Mix and match: Cedar or pine garlands Eucalyptus sprigs Berries, holly, or magnolia leaves Pinecones tucked throughout To create a full, dimensional look, layer some garland on top of the mantle and let the rest drape below using mantle hooks. Add Textural Garland Once the greenery is placed, bring in materials that give depth and interest. Try adding: Brass bell garland Wood-beaded garland Woven textures Metallic touches like copper or gold These layers break up the greens and make the mantle feel designer-level. Inspiration: Don’t Over-Balance Your Mantle This is Cassie’s favorite rule: asymmetry is your friend. Instead of perfectly matching each side: Cluster two candle holders on one end, and one on the other Mix heights, shapes, and finishes Let one side feel “heavier” than the other This gives your mantle a collected, organic look. Add Seasonal Objects Once the core layers are down, bring in the festive touches. Consider: Mini faux trees Ceramic or brass reindeer Ornaments scattered intentionally Small wrapped gifts Seasonal branches Don’t Forget Ambient Lighting Faux candles are a must for glow, warmth, and safety. We love: Battery-operated pillar candles Twinkle fairy lights woven through garland Glass lanterns on one side of the mantle And, of course, a seasonal candle from Glasshouse Finish With a Seasonal Mood Once everything is in place: Turn the lights low Light a holiday candle from Glasshouse (Christmas Morning …all stunning!) Create a Festive and Inviting Holiday Atmosphere Decorating your mantle and dining table for the holidays is a wonderful way to create a warm and festive atmosphere in your home. Below are some tips to help you transform these spaces into show-stopping holiday displays. 1. Layered Candlelight Candles are a classic way to add warmth and a touch of magic to both the mantle and dining table. Gold candlesticks, like the ones available at Ivory & Olive, are an elegant choice that pairs well with a variety of holiday themes. For a more dynamic look, group them in odd numbers (such as three or five), varying the height to create visual interest. To enhance the seasonal ambiance, stuff the base of the candlesticks with holiday greenery—whether fresh or high-quality artificial. You can also wrap the greenery around the base for a fuller look. 2. Holiday Greenery and Garlands Greenery doesn’t have to be confined to the tree! Add a lush garland along the mantle or a festive runner on the dining table. For extra elegance, mix in elements like pinecones, holly, or small ornaments. Fresh greenery smells amazing, but if you want a no-fuss option, high-quality faux greenery can still give a rich, natural look. 3. Decorative Holiday Figures Consider adding playful or sophisticated holiday figures, like miniature Christmas trees, reindeer, or even snowmen. For a more refined touch, metallic figures in gold or silver can add a hint of luxury. Grouping items of varying heights will naturally guide the eye upward, creating a more dynamic and layered display. 4. Incorporate Florals Poinsettias are a classic holiday plant, but consider mixing them with other holiday florals like amaryllis or white lilies for a stunning effect. Place them in decorative planters or pair them with your metal reindeer plant stands for a festive touch. Don’t forget that holiday bouquets, especially ones that include winter berries or evergreens, can make a beautiful statement on the dining table as well. 5. Twinkling Lights Flameless tea light candles are perfect for adding a bit of sparkle to your mantle or table. The soft flicker of tea lights adds a cozy glow without the worry of burning candles. Consider placing them within your holiday greenery or scattering them along the dining table to create a festive, candlelit effect. 6. Bold Bows and Stockings A large bow can add a statement-making touch to your mantle. If you have stockings, consider placing them on the mantle for a traditional look. You can also hang them with beautiful gold or velvet ribbon for a more luxurious effect. For a unique twist, consider small, decorative stocking holders in the shape of animals or vintage-inspired toys. 7. Play with Heights and Symmetry Whether you’re decorating the dining table or the mantle, symmetry is key for creating balance. Flank each side with equal-height objects or candles. However, you can also add height variation by incorporating a taller piece in the center of the table or above the mantle, such as a statement vase, a large bow, or a cluster of smaller trees. 8. Thoughtful Gifts The mantle and dining table are also great places to display wrapped holiday gifts. Use chic wrapping paper in metallics, deep reds, or greens to create a cohesive look. These gift displays work particularly well around Christmas trees or as a surprise touch for guests dining at your table. With these tips, you'll be able to transform your home’s key spaces into festive, cozy areas that will delight your family and guests throughout the holiday season.
