Nearly seven feet of cream cotton knit with green Christmas trees worked across it. Knit is an unexpected choice for a runner and a very good one — it has real texture and a soft drape that woven cotton doesn't, and it makes a table feel warm rather than formal.
Eighty inches suits a table seating eight to ten with a drop at each end. At eighteen inches wide it's generous enough to anchor a centerpiece while leaving room for place settings on both sides.
Machine washable at 30°C, dried flat — which matters more than it sounds for a piece that will see gravy, candle wax, and a full month of use.
