Fifteen inches of hand-polished horn, with the natural tonal range that makes each pair unlike any other — cream through amber through near-black, no two pieces the same. The horn is hand-polished and lacquered to a lustrous shine, which is what gives it that depth when light moves across it.
The scale is the point. Most salad servers are sized for a modest bowl and useless the moment you're feeding twelve. These reach into a large bowl and actually move a serving, which matters at Thanksgiving and at every big table between.
Handcrafted in India from horn imported from Africa. Beautiful in use and equally good left out on a counter beside a bowl — natural material has a presence that stainless never quite achieves.
