Every Room Deserves Something Living. Ours Never Wilt.

Custom orchid arrangement styled at Ivory & Olive

There is a moment in every project when the furniture is placed, the rug is down, the lighting is finally right, and the room still feels unfinished. Not empty. Just static. Nothing in it is moving.

Another chair will not fix that. Neither will more art. What the room is asking for is something with height, softness, and a little bit of sprawl. Something that breaks up all the straight lines and makes the whole space feel like someone actually lives there.

It is almost always an arrangement.

It Starts With The Vessel

Last week's Friday Favorites featured the Garance Footed Bowl, scalloped, quiet, lovely entirely on its own. Most people would set it on a console and call it finished. We saw a starting point.

Every arrangement we build begins with the vessel, because it determines everything that follows. A low-footed bowl wants width and sprawl. A tall vase wants height and restraint. A small planter wants one perfect thing and nothing else. The container is not a holder. It is the first design decision, and getting it right is most of the work.

Designed, Not Assembled

There is a real difference between putting stems in a bowl and building an arrangement. Ours are constructed the way we design a room: a focal point, a range of heights, and enough negative space to let the whole thing breathe. That structure is what turns an arrangement into a statement instead of a filler.

We build with botanicals, branches, moss, driftwood, and leaves, layering materials until the whole thing has real depth. Wired stems hold their shape. Wood and moss give it weight at the base. The small irregularities are what make a leaf read as a leaf. Up close, it holds up. Across a room, you would never question it.

And they stay that way. No watering, no dropped petals on the console, no starting over every ten days. The arrangement you fall for in August is the same one sitting there in January.

One Vessel. Two Very Different Rooms.

The clearest way to explain what we do is to show the same bowl twice.

Loose, organic arrangement with branching magnolia and hydrangea

Loose & Organic

Branching, layered, a little bit wild. It spills over the rim until you half forget the bowl is there. This one belongs on a dining table where people actually gather, or on an entry console where it is the first thing you see when the door opens.

Clean, sculptural orchid arrangement with moss and driftwood

Clean & Sculptural

Orchids, restrained and architectural. This one belongs in a powder room, on a nightstand, or anywhere the room is already doing plenty on its own.

The Same Footed Bowl · Two Completely Different Rooms

Neither one is more correct than the other. They are answers to two different rooms, and that is genuinely the whole point. You are not choosing an arrangement off a shelf. You are getting one built for the space it is going into.

An arrangement is the last five percent of a room. It is also the five percent people notice first.

If You Are Thinking About The Holidays, Start Now

Every arrangement is built by hand, and our vessels do not restock in a predictable way. The pieces that disappear first are always the ones someone saw in early fall and thought about until December.

Starting now means your arrangement is on the table before the first guest arrives, rather than three weeks after you needed it.

How It Works

Three steps, and we handle the part that takes practice.

01

Choose Your Vessel

Come into the shop and pick a vase, bowl, or planter you love. If you would rather not choose, send us a photo of the space, and we will pull a few that suit it.

02

Tell Us About The Room

Where it is going, what is already in the space, and whether you want it loose and organic or clean and sculptural. A photo of the room helps more than anything else.

03

We Build It For You

Professionally arranged for your vessel and your room. No two we have built are alike, and yours will not be either. Ready for pickup at the shop, or delivered locally.

Start Your Arrangement

Come see them in person at 24847 Del Prado in Dana Point. Tuesday through Friday, 11 to 6, and Saturday, 11 to 5.

Or send us a photo of your space, and we will take it from there.
